THE NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS DECIDED TO TAKE ON CAITLIN DAVIS (A HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR) TO THE 2008 CHEERLEADING SQUAD, THE DECISION TO BRING ON AN 18 YEAR OLD WAS BASED LARGELY ON HER COMMENTS MADE DURING HER TRYOUTS. WHEN ASKED WHAT SHE WAS LOOKING FORWARD TO THE MOST IF SHE MADE THE SQUAD DAVIS REPLIED:
“the trill of doing community service, that’s what I did growing up with my church youth group,” she said of helping charitable organizations like Habitat For Humanity and food pantries with the Mansfield Church of Christ.
“In addition to spreading a good image for the Patriots, you do some good things for others,” she said.

its only a big deal because she is on a team representing the whole new england area… but yes, this is something every teenager to mid 20 yr old sees every weekend. she was prob drunk and didnt think the pictures would be this big of a deal. i feel bad for her but at the same time if you’re part of an association as big as the NE Pats lets keep it classy.

Over-reaction! Please, this is ridiculous. You have to go out of your way to see any Jew reference. I still have yet to see a swastika. So many stories of people getting busted because they are caught out by their facebook pics or status messages.
Maybe if she avoided the swastikas and stuck with ‘ass licker’ it might have been better for her.

As a New England Patriot Cheerleader, her behavior regardless if she’s in uniform or not reflects the New England Patriots as a whole. Her behavior showed lack of respect or concern for herself, for the drunken person, and for the New England Patriots. Sometimes one mistake can cost a lot in life. She was talented enough to make the New England Patriot Cheerleader squad and was given an enormous opportunity which she should have respected. Instead, like a lot of young people, she let it all go to her head and did not think her actions that night would do anyone any harm. It’s a shame and it’s too bad but she is no longer on the New England Patriot Cheerleading squad. She needs to apologize for her behavior - stop making excuses - accept responsibility for her actions and accept the consequences, and gracefully move on and hopefully learn from her mistakes and become a better person. Life it tough. I do not feel sorry for this girl who had it all and then because of lack of respect for herself and others, lost it all. It happens. Luckily in life things like this eventually are forgotten because there is always someone else doing another insensitive thing for people to talk about. The saying goes, “This too shall pass”.

I agree that it was a stupid college thing that everybody does and is not a big deal at all….except for the fact that she represents a huge organization that must always watch their image and she represents them in everything she does, which is why she was chosen for the squad in the first place. If it were anybody else, no one would care at all but because of her link to the Pats, I can understand them letting her go. No one should feel bad for her…she posted the pics herself,or a friend did, I’m sure she knew about them, and I’m also sure she will be in Playboy very soon….and I can’t wait for that issue!

As an 18 year old with an opportunity like being on a pro-football cheerleading squad, she had the responsibility of not being contraversal and compromising the image of the Patriots. No it is not alright and the behavior is unacceptable. I don’t believe that a person passed out was able to agree to ill treatment. That idea that it goes on and that it is OK is disgusting and outrageous. With this level of disrespect maybe they should have stripped the person and sexually abused him. Would that be OK. If it was her and she awoke with no cloths on everyone would be saying how terrible it was. The total lack of respect for another human being could be used to justify anything! I agree it’s “No big deal” because it occurs on a daily basis within that age demographic and will till the end of time, it’s a real double edged sword indeed but to play the “It is a big deal” card and to get you think,ing outside the box you have to take into account that when your done playing games like this in high school/college and are out in the real world and get photographed dumb-shit games like this do rear their ugly head you my as well put a fork in it. This is clearly behavior not becoming of an employee that is worded in 95% of most company’s policy and procedure literature most likely provided to you as a term of employment. That is the objective truth so when you get caught and or photographed doing shit like this think back when you trumped my thread with, “It’s no big deal” and you threw away mommy & daddy’s college dough and your parking cars at the club you once attended don’t say I didn’t say so. 1) Guy’s wearing a blaze-orange hat. He likely thinks it’s the height of comedy anyway. Right up there with “Git ‘r done.”
2) The swastika (first pic, just under the bottom of his shirt, to the right of the hand) is drawn in green ink. The disembodied hand is holding the green pen. She is holding (in both pics) a purple pen.
3) The arm holding the green pen (a guy’s arm) also has crap written on it. This is what kids do. I much preferred shaving off one eyebrow rather than using markers, but to each his own.
The Patriots wouldn’t have looked bad for this UNLESS they drew attention to it by firing her. NOW the Pats look like either a) morons who hire dumb chicks who hang out with people who think swastikas are funny, and/or b) morons who fire people who hang out with those kind of people.
Either way, the Pats look ridiculous, but only because they called attention to all of this. Had they let it alone, made her apologize in private, they would have been fine.
Not that she’s the brightest bulb in the drawer either. She certainly doesn’t come out of this looking good. But with three people at least drawing on the dude, it looks like the nazi crap wasn’t hers.
